Blitz Adventure Race -- June 5th, 2011
Navigation, running, trekking, mud, hills, and fun!
Rain, snow or sunshine come out and participate in the Blitz Adventure Race! A true challenge, the Blitz Adventure Race is a 90-minute navigation trail run in the hills of Nose Hill Park in Calgary, Alberta.
Rather than a designated trail, your team of two will have a map with 10 checkpoints. You must choose your own path to reach as many checkpoints as you can AND still make it back to the finish line before time runs out.
All you need is basic map-reading skills, a desire to participate in a fun event and an appetite for yummy food after! You will not need a compass for this event. Expect a few surprises too - you never know what challenges might be waiting for you at a checkpoint. ;) Great prizes and a pancake breakfast at the Calgary Winter Club to follow the race!

Why Blitz?
Blitz Events was created to bring fun and unique events to Albertans through outdoor activities in both the winter and summer months. We strive to create a laid back atmosphere that is fun and memorable for all our participants and take pride in the fact that we are able to market to a diverse group of individuals who enter the Blitz Events for different reasons. Whether you are a beginner or experienced athlete Blitz Events puts on races that will satisfy everyone.
It is our goal that each year we have many returning participants and continue to grow in numbers. In order to ensure that we reach this goal, the Blitz organization takes all proceeds and puts the money back into each race to provide great race packages for all participants, finisher prizes for all age groups (both male and female), numerous door prizes, food and refreshments to participants and spectators after the event, and Blitz apparel for each participant.
